What is MOPS?
MOPS is a group of mothers of preschool age children who come
together in motherhood to meet each other's needs and make connections. MOPS is
here to come alongside you during this season of mothering and to provide you with
support and resources to be a great mom.
What happens at MOPS?
Each MOPS meeting is designed to integrate opportunities for relaxation, meaningful discussion, and
creativity. Each MOPS meeting will include socialization with other moms. We plan to have a speaker
or DVD at each meeting, speaking on relevant topics.
Once a month we also offer special outings outside of MOPS. Meetings that are optional for those who wish to participate.
Are there any fees?
MOPS International requires us to collect $20.00 from each mom who attends our group. You will
receive (six issues) of MOMSense Magazine, weekly Mom-E-Mails, and a collection of free books
and/or videos.
Our local MOPS group will be collecting a small fee (approximately $5.00) at each meeting to help cover the cost of dinner and speaker fees and supplies for our MOPPETS Program.
We offer a MOPPETS Program for children. The children rotate to various stations including Bible story, games, crafts, snack and videos. Children under 2 do not rotate. All of our workers that volunteer pass a background check prior to volunteering with us.
So Why not come out and give us a try? You do not
have to belong to our
church to participate.
