Our teens
left this morning at 7 AM for Louisville, Kentucky to join with
Wesleyan Church youth groups from across the Midwest in the 2009
LOVE MERCY Youth Convention. They arrive in Louisville and
were safely in their rooms by 2:15 PM awaiting the evening rally
with bands, speakers and lots of adrenaline pumping, high wattage
youth activities surrounded by screaming teens enjoying the
Winter Retreat for Wesleyan Youth.
It was a long awaited moment. They have
washed cars, sold rummage, served food, baby sat, bowled-a-thoned,
raked leaves
And dug into their own pockets to get to
Louisville. We pray that they grow in Christ together in ways
that will be transformative for them for a lifetime.
